The contract with Surtreat to repair the railings has been reviewed and
approved by the Association attorney, executed by the parties, and a
deposit has been issued to Surtreat. The permit application has been
submitted by Surteat to the City of Pompano Beach Building Department
and a permit is expected to take appx. 3 weeks for approval. Once the
permit is issued, a pre-construction meeting will be scheduled on site
with the City Structural Inspector, the Engineer of Record, the General
Contactor, and myself as the Waterford representative, to review the
logistics of the project including means and methods of the repair,
inspection scheduling and engineering tests, safety concerns, etc.
Further updates will be forthcoming.

Thank You.

To All Concerned:

Point Rail Project Advisory 11/12/08

Please be advised that the permit for the repair of the point rails has been issued by
the City of Pompano Beach Building Department. A pre-construction meeting was
held at the Waterford Point Condo today with the Pompano Beach Building
Department Structural Inspector, Mike Horan and representatives from Surtreat
Concrete Restoration, and myself on behalf of the Association. The overall scope of
work was reviewed by all parties including inspection scheduling and log reports
maintained by the Engineer of Record, safety of the residents and visitors during
construction, parking requirements for the workers, etc.

Surtreat will mobilize tomorrow and will start work on the southwest corner of the
building. They will limit their work area horizontally to one stack at a time, doing all 12
floors vertically between the stairwells and/or elevators to minimize any
inconvenience to our residents and guests. Safety nets will be used to prevent falling
objects and safety barricades will be placed on the ground level walkways in these
areas to alert residents of any overhead dangers. Please obey the warnings and use
an alternate route for egress to the building if necessary.  Further updates will be
forthcoming at the meetings and on our web site.

If any unit owner, resident or guest has questions or concerns regarding the repair
project please feel free to contact me directly.  Thank You.
